Ramon, Andreu
Born in Tàrrega, he studied piano with Jordi Benseny in Lleida and with Margarida Serrat in Barcelona, ​​and composition and orchestration with Salvador Pueyo, obtaining the superior diploms of piano, solfeo, music theory, transposition and accompaniment, harmony, counterpoint, composition and instrumentation. Scholarship from the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Ilerdencs Institute of Studies, he studies composition in Paris with Michel Merlet, and orchestration with Janos Komives, and orchestra conducting with Janos Komives and Dominique Rouits, as well as an analysis of ancient music and music 20th century with Jean-Dominique Pasquet, obtaining the Superieur diplomas of composition and orchestration at the Ecole Normale de Musique. Piano master classes with Edith Fischer, Monique Deschausées, Josep Colom, Antoni Besses, Frédéric Gevers and András Kemenes.

As a pianist, he has performed in Spain, France, Netherlands and Japan, in concert halls such as Auditori Enric Granados de Lleida, Ateneu Barcelonès, Instituto Cervantes de Madrid, Diputación de Cádiz, Sala Cortot de París, Tokyo Oji Hall, etc. He has performed with the Enric Granados Orchestra, the Orchestra Eduard Toldrà, the 48 Terrassa Orchestra, the Noguera Orchestra, the Julià Carbonell Orchestra of Les Terres de Lleida, the Young Orchestra of Ponent, as well as in different chamber orchestras and as soloist.

His works have been premiered and performed in Spain, France, Germany, Netherland and Japan by different formations such as the Prysma Quartet, Sul Tasto Sextet, Quartet Teixidor, Aguinaga Quartet, Chamber Orchestra of the Walnut, Julià Carbonell Symphony Orchestra of the Terres de Lleida, as well as different soloists. Among his works, he emphasizes the production of cantatas (The Fluteist of Hamelin, The Night of the Seven, Light and Dark), chamber music (Quatuor, Sonata for cello and piano, etc.) and orchestral works (Dialogues, Mouvement II, Mouvement III).

Access to the 9th Yong Composers Prize and First Prize of the XXI Composition Contest by Joventuts Musicals de Barcelona. Former director of the summer course at Tàrrega and exprofessor of the Partita Accademy in Paris, he is currently teaching harmony, counterpoint, analysis and composition at the Professional Music Conservatory of Lleida.
